THE BOOKING ROOM curriculum breaks the audition process down into components that students are taught to master individually, so that collectively they produce a confident, polished audition that casting directors are sure to respond to. On-Camera classes are offered in two sections: The Toolbox and The Continuing Workshop. Private coaching is also available.
The Toolbox
An 8 week class where students are introduced to the individual components (or tools) that make up a well rounded audition. Each week focuses on one of the components. After a discussion of the week’s topic students perform two to three mock auditions (commercial and theatrical) where they get a chance to practice using their newly acquired tools. Auditions are taped and reviewed in class. Discussion topics Include practical items like Cold Reading, Breaking Down Sides, and What To Wear, as well subjects that explore the psychology behind a winning audition.
Continuing Workshop
Offered in 6 week increments, this section is a follow-up to The Tool Box. Having been introduced to the basic tools necessary for a winning audition, the student now gets an opportunity to practice integrating these individual pieces into his/her overall process. All auditions are taped and reviewed in class. We tackle more challenging material and continue to focus on perfecting audition technique while putting greater emphasis on character development and improvisation as a way of enhancing students overall craft as an actor.
Private Coaching
Understanding the fast-paced nature of casting in Hollywood, Marcus makes himself available (schedule permitting) for one-on-one audition coaching both morning and evening. In the session, Marcus assists the actor in fully understanding the dynamics of the audition material and in making clear and engaging acting choices. He challenges his clients to build a character from the inside out ensuring that their take on a role will stand out because it is drawn from self and therefore uniquely personal.
CLASS FEE: The 8 week Toolbox is just $320 (Installment plans available; fees subject to change). The 6 week Continuing Workshop is $200 (participants must have completed the Toolbox or done private coaching equivalent).

AUDITION COACHING RATE: $50 for the 1st hour + $25 for each additional 30 min block beyond that. There is a 1hr minimum however actors should typically allow 90 minutes for most roles depending on the length and complexity of the audition material. As an alternative to our group classes, you may elect to take the Booking Room curriculum through weekly private coaching with Marcus. The weekly 90 minute sessions are at a set day and time convenient to your schedule.
WEEKLY PRIVATE COACHING RATE: $60 per 90 minute session (clients must book a minimum of 6 weekly meetings to qualify for this reduced rate.)
